For YEARS these jokers have plagued this forum with IPO spam where it SHOULD have been in the sell forums. once CCP allowed that crap in here... next came quarterly announcements... directors 'retirements' and all sorts of off-topic garbage.
Moving this rat-trap riff raff posting off the CCP website is a good thing and long overdue. I wish them well but good riddence.
Now this forum can trend back to it's intended audience. Everyone other than the 'elders'. IMHO.

Perhaps if YOU don't like the rules here YOU should find another sandbox to play in as well.

The sell orders are not suited to the requirements that IPOs, Offerings, Bonds, etc.. require. And because they are related to the market in general they were allowed to rest here... for well over your and my time here.
To ignore that they've been like this and the reasons why is pretty moranic and indicative that you're just trolling here Taikun |

You call my POV trolling. All I see from you is a weak mind failing to maturely discuss a point of difference and falling upon the "you're a troll defense". Pathetic.
Public offerings have been in the game since literally the game existed for the most part. It was found that the sell forums did not facilitate the operation of them The Market Discussion seemed the next logical step CCP and the moderation team agreed in so far that despite the description, the activity was allowed to continue, even to the point where at times offerings were actually MOVED here from other locations.
These are facts, the fact that you ignore these facts is pretty obvious you're trolling here Taikun. If the rules were rules, we'd be seeing the threads locked left and right, and moved on a daily basis.
I;m sorry you're an idiot, the condition is fixable though. I've heard the first step is a sub cranial excision from the post anterior rear. |

Originally by: VJ Maverick While I agree that the secondary market is arguably part of the overall MD umbrella of discussable topics, it seems that the "elders" have gotten their heads stuck too far up their collective rectums and somehow decided that the secondary market is the ONLY worthy topic for MD to the exclusion of all others. Any newcomers asking here for help or guidance are in for some serious punishment if they dare ask the "wrong" question. The arrogance exhibited here is outright astounding and would make even the hard core thugs in C&P blush. Honestly, it takes a seriously depraved self-esteem to create an ivory tower elite in a VIDEO GAME!!!! Frack the "elders" and their self-important attitude. Good riddance.
Not true, many of us have started a number of threads that contain information any newcomer seeks, and recently since the move have started a megathread where questions can be asked and answers reviewed before answering something redundant.
All some of us ask is that you check the stickies and use eve-search before asking. Most of the time the answer has already been posted. |

Originally by: VJ Maverick Eve-search sucks. It has always sucked and will probably suck long after the "elders" have moved out of their parents' basements. And even if a question has already been asked and answered, the level of effort that the "elite" puts into abusing the poor noob who posed it always far exceeds the level of effort required to simply answer the question again or point the noob in the right direction. Let these self-important a-holes leave. Nobody will miss them. Nobody cares. EvE is bigger than even the most over-inflated internet ego.
Eve-Search works for all but the most complicated questions.
Search this sub forum for tritium or trit and you'll get half a dozen threads about the rising and lowering of this mineral. What affects these changes, and how you can react to them to form your own predictions.
Search this sub forum for t2 - exploit and you'll get prolly the best in depth discussion of the impact its actually going to have. Many of us here predicted the exact outcome, the dates of it occuring, and a rough estimated amount days before CCP gave it to the CSM. (Props to Akita the resident market crystal ball)
To just trounce this amazing resource just drives the point home that its getting like the rest of the forums around here.
I'm sticking around, but mostly out of stubborness and my will to sell more maple syrup. |

As frustrating at it is, the answer will have to be posted again. That is part of the learning process. I haven't always been able to find the previous posts, so I asked the question and found out it had already been answered.
I don't feel that everybody has to answer the same question over and over, but I do feel that the forum would do better by encouraging those basic questions more and more. As it is, newbies don't feel they can ask questions, and so the forum has devolved into an outlet for the next round of scam IPO's mixed in with a portion of real ones.

Eventually every question will come up again, that is a certain. Its been going on here for years.
But the amount of clutter lately has gone up, where as we might get a single "Why has trit gone up" in a month, its gotten to be a daily occurrence in a large price shift.
I'm hopeful that the EVEeWiki project will help alleviate some stress in answering the same thing twice, or even having to post a link again and again, etc... |

You're right. I suck. My real parents are long dead. Perhaps my other parents - these arrogant elites can follow their example and go away. Maybe you should lead them.
And another thing regarding eve-search. It is an external site. Expecting noobs to use a search engine that is not part of the eve forums to find topics in the eve forums is absolutely ridiculous. I could understand if the eve-search site was actually a very effective search engine, but honestly, for the most part, eve-search makes Ask Jeeves look good. But then again. I suck. I don't really know what I'm doing or talking about. But my general suckiness and incompetence notwithstanding, I'm pretty sure these "elite parents" will not be missed by anyone but the most co-dependent of sycophants.
And then they wonder why we complain about the lowered quality around here lately. |

And at this point you've dragged this thread into deserving a lock status

Man, I'm sick of this hall-monitor **** that's pervaded this forum the last month. If you want to report a thread just do it, don't make a ****ing announcement about the thing. No one needs to know you're a nerdy, spotty moron that rats on everyone.
I agree with you, but there are times where examples need to be made and lines drawn in the sand. At this point the thread has devolved into nothing productive, and we have a single user to thank for it. |

They're clearly missing out on the enjoyment that they could have in this hurf blurf trolling thread.
GOON ALERT!!!!!

Just kidding. I dislike everyone equally.
Equal Opportunity Hating is party of the Equal Hating Act enacted by the four alliances some years ago. Wouldn't want to get the EEOH involved now would we. |

Am I mistaken to assume EBank isn't a chariable operation?
Quoting from EBank "At the end of every financial month, 10% of EBANK profits will be paid as a dividend to Directors."
Even though the payment to the directors is in "ISK" it clearly meets the definition of any "other consideration" as satisfying a commercial purpose as defined by the statute. EBank became a business just like any other once its operations left the confines of the game proper, these forums, and hence CCPs direct control. IMHO
